American values require the admission of more Muslim refugees, declared celebrity leftist Angelina Jolie at an Islamic event on Monday in Virginia. The Hollywood face of the UN’s refugee bureaucracy, she joined Secretary of State John Kerry in pushing for the resettlement of hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees in the US. No consideration of alternative regional resettlement options for Middle Eastern or African refugees was made by either Jolie or Kerry.
Bringing Muslim refugees to the US actualizes American values, claimed Jolie. Before a mostly Muslim audience, she framed the UN’s refugee agenda as an exercise in humanitarianism. The event was hosted by the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS), an affiliate of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood.

“It is our obligation as Americans to create a nation that welcomes those escaping from suffering,” said Jolie. “Fleeing their homes not by choice but because it is necessary for their survival. A great America is a compassionate America.”
Unqualified “diversity” strengthened America, claimed Jolie.
“When we are at our strongest, it is when we draw on our diversity as a people to find unity based on our common values and our larger identity,” declared Jolie. “We are not strong in spite of our diversity, we are strong because of it.”
Recasting Islamic terrorism as “violent extremism,” Jolie deployed a nebulous phrase coined by the Obama Administration for the purpose of denying the phenomenon’s ideological and religious dimensions.
Without expressly identifying Islam, Jolie decried attempts to “stigmatize” the “beautiful religion.”
“There is nothing strong about denigrating anyone on the basis of their religion, nationality, sexual orientation, [or] gender,” said Jolie, indirectly criticizing Donald Trump’s proposals to temporarily block the entry of most Muslims as immigrants, refugees, or visitors.
“When we denigrate the faith, traditions, and cultures of any group of people, we weaken our strength as democratic societies,” warned Jolie, suggesting that religions, traditions, and cultures be immune to harsh criticism.

Military servicepersons, national security operatives, and law enforcement officers who combat and counter America’s enemies were unmentioned by Jolie. She did, however, express platitudinous praise for those participating in vigils following Islamic terrorist attacks.
