Remo Stars chief coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has said his side are poised to grab their first home victory in the ongoing Nigerian top-flight. They host Abia Warriors in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL clash at the Gateway Stadium in Sagamu.
Ogunmodede said that after back to back defeats to Plateau United and Gombe United, time is ripe to announce themselves in their debuting top-flight campaign. “Winning the first home game in the top-flight is uppermost on our minds after two successive defeats. “What we want mostly is the whole three points in the clash against Abia Warriors.
“We know that Abia Warriors will not come cheap. We have gone the extra mile to train hard for the clash to ensure we get it right with three points in our kitty after football hostility. “Although, nobody has spoken harshly over the two losses, but personally the defeats have posed serious challenge to us. “We want to put to an end the series of losses to assert our footprint strongly in the top-flight.
“There is nothing spectacular in the matches we played in the top-flight, except the results have been unfair, but we are determined to change the poor results starting with the clash against Abia Warriors,” Ogunmodede told supersport.com.
