President Edgar Lungu is welcomed by Prime Minister of Equatorial Guinea,Pascual Obama Asue for the Africa-Arab World Summit at Malabo International Airport today.
President Edgar Lungu has arrived in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea to attend the fourth Africa-Arab summit which opens tomorrow.
The presidential challenger jet carrying the president touched down at Malabo international airport at about 13.30 Zambian time.
The President is accompanied by among others Commerce Minister Margaret Mwanakatwe and special assistant to the president for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda.
President Lungu was received by Prime minister of Equatorial Guinea Pascual Obama Asue as well as Zambia’s Foreign Affairs minister Harry Kalaba and Zambia’s permanent representative to the African Union Susan Sikaneta.
From the airport, the president was driven to Asipopo presidential villas near the venue of the summit.
President Lungu will be among heads of state and government attending the fourth Africa-Arab summit.
While in Malabo, the head of state is expected on the side lines of the summit to hold bilateral meetings with leaders of delegations from Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and the King of Saudi Arabia.
