A 25-year old woman has abandoned a month-old-baby at a Clinic over her inability to pay for her medical bills in Warri, Delta State.

A very cute month-old baby has been abandoned at St. George’s Specialist Clinic and Maternity in Warri, Delta State, by a 25-year old woman simply identified as Tony Okiemute, over her inability to pay for her medical bills.
Speaking exclusively to DailyPost, the Administrative Manager of the hospital, Sunny Ebone, revealed that the woman delivered a set of twin, a boy and a girl on October 5 through
cesarean operation when he was rushed on emergency to the hospital, adding that the woman lost the baby boy while the girl survived.
The hospital manager claimed that the woman abandoned the baby while pretending that she was going to purchase pap (Akamu), adding that she absconded since October 15 when she visited the hospital for further treatments.
Ebone disclosed further that all efforts to trace and track the woman who claimed to be resident of Ekakoto Street in Orhunwhorhun Community in Udu Local Government, were unsuccessful before he decided to take the child to the police station.
It was gathered that the lady was given a bill of N125,000 which she reportedly could not afford.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Police Officer, “B” Division, CSP Anieteh Eyoh who declined comments on the matter, has ordered his men to track the parents of the abandoned baby in order to save the child.
