Samsung's A-series of smartphones is almost at the point of making its 2017 models official, but there's one odd outlier - the A8. The Galaxy A8 (2016) still hasn't been announced, even if all the other members of the A line have already received 2016 refreshes.
There is however some hope that we'll see the A8 (2016) being unveiled soon, as today a bunch of renders showing it have been leaked. This comes after the phone went through two different benchmarks already.
As you can see, the Galaxy A8 (2016) seems to employ the 'glass sandwich' design, with glass on the front and the back and a metal frame in between. The glass curves towards the frame on both sides, making this handset very similar in looks to the Galaxy S7 .
On the other hand, it's much bigger than that, with the following dimensions: 156.5 x 77.5 x 7.3 mm. So far it's been rumored to sport a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, the Exynos 7420 SoC at the helm, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 16 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie snapper, and a fingerprint scanner in its Home button. It will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
